CBC's Gala is a must-attend event for New York's business and civic leaders. The 91st Annual Gala was held on February 16, 2023, and honored NYS Governor Kathy Hochul with the Medal for High Civic Service, which is given to a current or former public servant who exemplifies CBC’s values and a dedication to serving the public. Stephen Berger, former Executive Director of the New York State Emergency Financial Control Board, was honored with the Felix G. Rohatyn Award, which is given to an individual whose career exemplifies Felix Rohatyn’s public service and commitment to New York’s sound fiscal management.
Special welcomes were provided by NYC Comptroller Brad Lander and NYS Attorney General Letitia James.
Introductions and presentation of the Felix Rohatyn Award was by Nicolas Rohatyn and Eugene Keilin.
NYS Governor Kathy Hochul was introduced by Mayor Eric Adams, with the Medal for High Civic Service presented by Marissa Shorenstein.
