CBC Announces 2015-2016 Public Policy Fellows

Second Year of Fellowship Program Will Grow to Four Fellows

April 21, 2015

New York, NY - The Citizen's Budget Commission (CBC) today announces the appointment of four CBC Public Policy Fellows who will work with CBC staff during the academic year commencing in September. The Fellows Program was launched last September to recognize and engage outstanding graduate students in their final year of a master's degree program at one of New York's schools of public policy. Funding for the program, providing stipends for the fellows to work 20 hours each week during the school year, is provided by donations from members of the CBC Board of Trustees. The inaugural year included two fellows; interest among schools and students has enabled CBC to expand the program to four fellows from four different schools this year. They are:

  • Tyrone Grandstrand, The New School Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy
  • Amanda Jaeger, Baruch College, The City University of New York
  • Asha Jayaraman, New York University Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service
  • John Olderman, Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs

"We are very pleased to welcome four CBC Public Policy Fellows who will conduct their own projects analyzing promising policy initiatives for New York City or State while also participating in CBC events and activities," said CBC President Carol Kellermann. "They are an impressive group of future leaders, and we look forward to working with them."
